# ✨ How Does XChain Work

XChain operates as an autonomous execution network built on the DEMOS **Layer-2 Parallel Subnetwork (L2PS)** framework. Instead of relying on continuous main-chain execution, XChain enables its nodes to coordinate, execute workflows, and verify results independently, submitting cryptographic attestations to the DEMOS Network only when required.

This design allows XChain to achieve high throughput, low latency, and reduced costs while maintaining verifiable security guarantees.
