# Definition

In the context of the DEMOS Network specifications, an L2 Parallel Subnetwork is a **group of DEMOS peers** that work together to form an **independent chain of trust**, leveraging DEMOS infrastructure for coordination and attestation rather than execution.

Each L2PS maintains its own operational logic, execution flow, and performance characteristics, while remaining verifiable within the broader network.
