# How XMessenger Is Built

XMessenger is developed and deployed on the **DEMOS Network**, serving as the primary environment for mainnet-grade testing, optimization, and progressive rollout. This ensures the messaging infrastructure is hardened under real network conditions while maintaining strict privacy guarantees.

The protocol integrates natively with **DEMOS IMP (Instant Messaging Protocol)**, a messaging transport designed specifically for execution within **Layer-2 Parallel Subnetworks (L2PS)**. IMP enables low-latency message propagation, parallel execution without global congestion, and independent message processing across subnetworks.
